Hi! My name is Carol Koppenheffer and I have been a parishioner here at St. Joseph’s Parish for seven years now. The first ministry that I got involved with when I came here was the RCIA. I had directed the RCIA and Adult Formation in my former parish for fourteen years and was excited to be able to work with the adults in the process of becoming Catholic once again. For the past twenty years, I have taught Religious Studies at Mater Dei High School. This past year I have felt God calling me back to work more in parish life, so I am now working part time at Mater Dei and have accepted the position of coordinating the RCIA process here at St. Joseph’s. I look forward to working with all of you and our Inquirers, Candidates and Catechumens who want to join our Catholic Community.
I live in Anaheim, but come here to St. Joseph’s because I found you all to be such a wonderful parish community! I felt like I was at home when I came here. I have a 29 year old son, Joseph, who lives and works in Los Angeles. I love the outdoors and in the summer time, I work at a resident camp up in Running Springs as the nature and outdoor camping skills specialist. During other seasons, you will find me at home doing projects, working in my yard, baking or reading.
I look forward to your support and welcoming of our RCIA catechumens, candidates, and inquirers so that they will feel at home and a part of this community as you did for me!
