ConfirmationConfirmation, together with Baptism and Eucharist, form the sacraments of Initiation that are all intimately connected. In the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. The bishop is the minister of Confirmation. The sacrament is conferred by the laying on of hands and anointing with the Oil of Sacred Chrism.
"The reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace…By the sacrament of Confirmation the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit." -Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1285. -
Youth Confirmation-High SchoolConfirmation is a 2 year long program for all High School teenagers in the Diocese.
We meet once every other week on Sunday nights from 6pm to 8:30pm.

OCIA- Order of Christian Initiation for AdultsOCIA- Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
(formerly known as Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA))
St. Joseph Church invites adults who wish to become a member of the Catholic faith. This process is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or “RCIA”.
The RCIA process may be for you if:
You have never been baptized; OR
You have been baptized in another Christian tradition; OR
You were baptized as an infant in the Catholic Church, but never received Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Confirmation"Con el Bautismo y la Eucaristía, el sacramento de la Confirmación constituye el conjunto de los "sacramentos de la iniciación cristiana", cuya unidad debe ser salvaguardada. Es preciso, pues, explicar a los fieles que la recepción de este sacramento es necesaria para la plenitud de la gracia bautismal (cf Ritual de la Confirmación, Prenotandos 1). En efecto, a los bautizados "el sacramento de la Confirmación los une más íntimamente a la Iglesia y los enriquece con una fortaleza especial del Espíritu Santo. De esta forma quedan obligados aún más, como auténticos testigos de Cristo, a extender y defender la fe con sus palabras y sus obras" (LG 11; cf Ritual de la Confirmación, Prenotandos 2):"-Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica, núm. 1285.
