Bereavement GroupThis group of parishioners spends time withg families who have recently lost a loved one and helps them to prepare for the various funeral services. St. Vincent de PaulThe parish Conference provides the needy emergency services such as food, short-term housing, furniture, tax help, budget help, transportation to loved ones, job information, referrals, etc. The Society also has a campership program and provides Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets. The members have the opportunity to perform these services through regular visits to the needy--to be in a position to serve them sincerely and intimately, not casually or at a distance; to give words of kindness, sympathy or encouragement as brothers and sisters, neighbors, friends, representatives of Christ's love; and to be able to walk the path of suffering and trial, to be capable of appreciating and fully sympathizing with the sufferings and trials of others.
