St. Joseph MinistriesSacramental PreparationPreparation for the saraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. This process is applicable to both adults and children age seven and up.Preparation for Confirmation for adults (18 and older) is available. Classes meet on Sunday nights, 7:00-9:00 p.m., during the winter. Coordinator: Paula Dougherty Youth & Young Adult MinistryConfirmation 1 meets on Wednesday nights. and a Monday class with
very limited space is also offered. Confirmation 1 mainly meets on

educational, recreational activities and service projects are offered
throughout the week. Faith Formation classes for children in grades 1-5 are offered on Tuesdays. Children may register to come at either 4:15-5:30PM or 6:00-7:15PM. Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion is a two year process that may begin in the first grade. Children who are in 3rd ,4th or 5th grades and are beginning preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion come to class on Sunday mornings from 10:15-11:15AM. Preschool classes for children ages 3, 4, and 5 are offered during the 8:45 and 10:30 Sunday morning Masses. Children’s Liturgy of the Word is available during the 8:45 and 10:30 Masses. of study that includes sports, technology, art, music, and Spanish language. Music MinistryCoordinates musicians and music for the various liturgies. Lay MinistriesThis office coordinates the various lay ministries including lectors,
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, altar servers, Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers), Ministers to the
homenound and hospital, and Bereavement Ministers. Also works to coordinate efforts of the
various ministry groups and organizations: Senior Forum, Sarah's Circle,
Adult Seminars, Friday Friends, Parish Mailing Team, and Environment
Committee at St. Joseph Catholic Church. |
