Rev. Tim Ramaekers

Rev. Tim Ramaekers is a native of Southern California, the son of a retired Los Angeles City Fire captain and a teacher, the second oldest of seven children. He entered St. John's Seminary in Camarillo in 1973 and he was ordained a priest in 1982. Fr. Tim has served in the following parishes: St. Polycarp, Stanton; St. Justin Martyr, Anaheim; San Antonio de Padua, Anaheim Hills; and Holy Family Cathedral, Orange.


Rev. Benedict Yang

Fr. Benedict Yang was ordained to the priesthood in June 2007 and was assigned to St. Norbert Parish as Parochial Vicar. Fr. Benedict attended the University of California, Irvine, for three years before entering Mt. Angel Seminary in Oregon in 2000. He completed his seminary studies at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, CA from 2002 – 2007.

Fr. Benedict was born in Korea, the fourth of five children of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Yang. The family immigrated to the United States in 1989. He attended Temple City High School. Fr. Benedict is fluent in English and Korean and proficient in Spanish as well. In his leisure time, Father enjoys tennis, traveling, hiking and camping.

 


Rev. Tom Keller, MSC

Fr. Tom was previously assigned to St. Hedwig in Los Alamitos. He is in residence here at St. Joseph and works at the Office of Canonical Services. As a missionary priest he served in New Guinea. Fr. Tom has also served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and in the Diocese of San Bernardino. He has served as the Superior for the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.

 


Deacon Ed Faulk

Deacon Ed has been an active parishioner at St. Joseph since 1976 serving in many different capacities as lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Director of Music and Director of Liturgy. The author of eight books (most recently 101 Questions and Answers on the Eastern Catholic Churches, Paulist Press, New Jersey, 2007) he continues to study and research the origins of liturgical praxis in both the Western and Eastern Churches. Deacon Ed serves as a bi-ritual deacon with faculties to serve the Melkite Church at Holy Cross Melkite Greek Catholic Church. He also serves as a chaplain with the Placentia Police Department.


Deacon Jorge Ramirez

Deacon Jorge was born in Mexico City in 1942 and came to the United States in 1967. His mother and only sister live in San Diego. Ordained in May of 2003, Deacon Jorge will be serving the people of God in Placentia with an emphasis on the Hispanic Community. Deacon Jorge is married to our Director of Hispanic Religious Education, Eloisa and they have four children: Veronica, Claudia, Rebeca and Marcela. Both Eloisa and Deacon Jorge have been parishioners of St. Joseph since 1981.
