Elementary (Grades 1-5)
Children's Liturgy of the Word:
Children's Liturgy of the Word provides children with an age appropriate experience of God's Word during the 8:45AM and 10:30AM Masses. No registration is needed; kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to dismiss with us after the opening prayer in Mass. Children will return to church after the petitions to share in the Eucharistic prayers with their family.
First Communion/First Reconciliation Preparation:
YEAR 1:
Grades 1 or 2: classes meet on Tuesdays, from 4:15 to 5:30 PM or from 6:00 to 7:15 PM PLUS student and parent/family attend four Generations of Faith festivals.
Grades 3, 4 or 5: classes meet on Sunday mornings, from 10:00 -11:15 AM.Parent and student attend classes together PLUS student and parent/family attend four Generations of Faith festivals.
YEAR 2:
Grades 2 or 3: classes meet on Tuesdays, from 4:15 – 5:30 PM or from 6:00 – 7:15 PM.
Grades 4 or 5: classes meet on Sunday mornings, from 10:00 – 11:15 AM. Parent and student attend together.
Faith Formation for students who have received First Holy Communion:
Grades 3, 4, or 5: Faith Formation does not end with First Communion! Continuing formation classes meet on Tuesdays, from 4:15–5:30PM or from 6:00-7:15PM.
Sacramental preparation for Unbaptized Children, Grade 1 through Grade 5:
The parish Christian Initiation process prepares young people for full initiation: Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Classes meet Sunday mornings, 10 – 11:15 AM. Parent and student attend together. Registration is by appointment with program coordinator Sarah Rooney.
Faith Formation for Children with Autism or Special Needs:
Sessions meet on Sunday mornings, 10:30 – 11:30 AM. New families should contact program coordinator Sarah Rooney.
Vacation Bible School
Every July, we have an amazing experience of fun and learning about our awesome faith for children pre-k through 6th grade! Teens 7th-12th grade this is an amazing way to earn service hours! Look for info and registrations in May 2012.
