Becoming a Catholic
Our parish offers a year-round process for adults who wish to become a member of the Catholic faith. This process is known as the “RCIA”: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
The RCIA process is for you if:
- You have never been baptized; OR
- You have been baptized in another Christian tradition; OR
- You were baptized as an infant in the Catholic Church, but never received Holy Communion and Confirmation
Sacramental celebrations for adults take place each year at Easter. Adults usually spend 12 to 18 months in the RCIA process before receiving the sacraments.

Bible Study
SPRING 2012 BIBLE STUDY: GENESIS
The Book of Genesis is a story about beginnings: of the universe, of humans, of joys and sorrows, successes and failures. This eleven week study is an invitation to not only contemplate the creation story, but to remember with the Israelites their ancestors in faith. You may register for sessions held on Tuesday evenings (March 13 – May 29) or Wednesday mornings (March 14 – May 30). We will use printed and video materials from the Little Rock Scripture Study program.
+ Tuesday evening series, meets 7:00 – 9 PM,
Parish Center room 1 - 2; led by John Thompson
First session is March 13, 2012. (No meeting on May 1)
+ Wednesday morning series, meets 9:30 – 11:30 AM,
Parish Center room 1 - 2; led by Paula Dougherty
First session is March 14, 2012. (No meeting on May 2)
+ Tuition: $30 for all eleven sessions (includes study materials).
Participants should bring bible, paper and pen to each session.
