This work is an abbridgement and translation of Fr. Josef Jungmann's Die Frohbotschaft und Unsere Glaubensverkündigung which he wrote in 1936. The translation was done by the late William A. Huesmann, S.J. who was, at the time, Dean and Seminary Professor at Alma College in Los Gatos, CA. This work was originally published by W. H. Sadlier, Inc. in 1962 under the title: The Good News Yesterday and Today.
